Kinsale in County Cork is one of the most picturesque places you’ll find anywhere along the whole south and south-west coast of Ireland. Nestled between the hills and the sea, it is a wonderful maze of narrow little streets with cheerfully coloured buildings that ooze history and charm.
Kinsale’s architectural heritage has been carefully protected through the centuries and there are links to the French, Spanish British and American styles of building to be found everywhere.
Back in an age when the world was thought to be flat, it was believed to be at the “edge of the world”.
Even today, there is a part of Kinsale called “World’s End” and there you will find the Trident Hotel where you can enjoy a quiet drink or afternoon coffee.
